Wouter Weylandt was a 26 year-old Belgian who turned pro for QuickStep at just 19 years of age. He had over 10 wins to his credit including his biggest at last year's Giro d'Italia in Middleburg, NL.

主办方称下坡时他左脚踏卡到围栏后摔了出去，摔在了60米以下路上，Weylandt，比利时人，26岁，去年拿过环意单站，之前还有过环西的单站，赢过一些比利时的经典赛事。他女朋友Sophie现在正怀着他们的孩子，预产期是9月。
